1972 Chevrolet El Camino SS 454
77,000 miles, power steering, tilt wheel, cruise control, and automatic.
This was an original very straight and completely rust free car that had
an extensive professional restoration with a detailed assembly to provide
a beautiful fit and finish. The car was sandblasted in the bed and door
jamb areas not available to sand in order to strip all the old paint. The
body panels were all taken down to bare metal by sanding so as not
to warp them. With the car stripped down, all the bare metal was acid
etched primed before metal work began. Only needing minor body work
the door handles were shaved off and the gas filler lid smoothed over.
As you can see in the pictures a beautiful final color sanded and buffed
paint job that is ready to show off in the most unforgiving color black
with silver SS stripes on the hood and rear of the bed gate. The car has
complete new triple plate chrome and all new weather stripping installed
with a new windshield. The new interior includes the headliner, sun
visors, carpet, door panels, custom leather seats, shoulder seat belts
custom steering wheel, dash pad and dash face with all new vents,
also the center console is new with all the door handles window
cranks and custom brake and gas petals all the details complete
the cockpit with the finished speaker box behind the seats bringing
the sounds from the Kenwood six disk player and dash stereo. The
2 key fob remotes provided with the car control both the alarm and
door poppers and kickers to release the door latch and pop open
the doors for entering and exiting with a hidden manual safety if
ever needed. Tinted windows are new along with the tires and
powder coated original SS wheels with new center caps. The
exterior moldings, grill and badges are all new the lights front and
rear new with the mirrors and even the wipers. Cosmetically
everything you see appears to have been restored or replaced
on the outside of the car and in the driver’s compartment.
Mechanically the car has a rebuilt motor with 3000 miles on it.
The air conditioning was charged and a fabulous sounding
magna flow exhaust system installed. See the picture of the
locking Billet gas filler in the bed. Ready to show and enjoy
immediately as the owner has sorted the car over the past year
since completion.
